Gone are the days of the perfectly posed family in a stuffy studio. I used to dread going in for our yearly family pictures because it meant wearing a dress, which I hated, making my ridiculous 80's mullet look even more ridiculous, which I hated, and inevitably having a creepy older man telling me where to stand and how to smile. The finished product was four very uncomfortable people standing awkwardly next to each other in front of an ugly vinyl backdrop. We appreciate those photographs now, but mostly in an ironic way. At the time it was just uncomfortable.
I work hard to produce organic portraits of your children that personify their true nature. We are all individuals, no one of us is the same, so why should our family photographs be? My studio sessions are totally laid back. If I use props at all, they're always timeless in nature and often wooden. I'm not adverse to putting a large pile of dirt in front of children to keep them busy. The dirt is always a huge hit!
I've worked with Janie and Jack, Pottery Barn Kids, DayOne Baby, and Mon Amie Harlow, to name a few. The set up is quick and easy, and the end result is beautiful, timeless photographs, of your family that you will treasure forever.
