Why You Should Update Your Brand Photos Every Year (Especially as a Small Business)
If you’re a small business owner or running a nonprofit, your photos shouldn’t stay the same year after year. Updated photography keeps your business feeling current, trustworthy, and aligned with where you are now, not where you were two years ago. It also gives you a steady flow of content for your website, social media, and marketing without scrambling to “find something to post.” Even a simple, intentional session once a year can completely change how people experience your brand and help you show up with more clarity and confidence.
I know it’s so hard to think about having your portrait taken. I get it, I hate having my picture taken! People love to tell me how much I look like my dad, and as much as I love that guy, I don’t want to look like an Italian man in his 60’s. Unfortunately, if you’re the face of your business or the entire business, it’s so important to be out there in the public eye. I promise you photo sessions with me are about as low key as they get. We have fun, and I don’t care if you think you’re awkward. I’m awkward, so it works out perfectly! :)
Just a heads up: outdoor summer branding sessions often end with us swimming in a river or lake, so bring your suit and plan on having fun!
